The Rube Goldberg Unit is an explortation in to force, work, simple machines and 1-dimensional motion. Students will be working with lab equipment to learn how simple machines can reduce the amount of effort required to do a task, and how the various types of simple machines work. The culminating project for the unit is the construction of a Rube Goldberg device.

Sketching Gadgets Complete the assignment as a table group, drawing one of the available gadgets. Your homework assignment is to draw two additional gadgets, however, if you draw two in class, you only have to complete one at home.
