Sometimes, you just need to get away from things
So this past June, when my dad finished with school, we went on my first camping trip with Ibu and Bapak. We went to a place called Stony Gorge, which is really alot of fun. It's really primitive, no drinking water or electricity or anything, but it's still alot of fun. Well, except for the drunk rednecks who stayed up all night playing bad music at excessive volume levels. Like anyone wants to hear your rotten music at 2am. Idiots! Fools!
One of the best things about camping is getting
new stuff. Because we knew I was going to be out in the sun, I got a sun suit.
Sure, it's still blue, but I really like the green trim and the yellow sleeves.
Very stylish.
That's my dad kissin' on me. He makes me laugh.

One of the other neat things I got was a floatie for the water. It was a little weird at first, being in the water, 'cause it's not as warm as my bath, but it's still pretty nice. I was a bit freaked out about not being able to touch the bottom, but once I figured out I wasn't going to sink, I really started to enjoy it.

Who knew my saucer was capable of off-road travel? How cool is this? I got pretty excited when I discovered I didn't have to be at home to use my saucer. I'm going to have to start doing some exploring with this thing.
Hippo,
Hippo, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
What cutie hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
After being in the great outdoors all day, getting a good night's rest is pretty important. It's also important to have all the necessary gear. Here's my laughing hippo flashlight. Just in case I need to patrol for intruders during the night, it's good to know I have my hippo light.

One of the best things about going camping is the traditional end-of-trip meal. We went to the Black Bear Diner in Willows for breakfast. This is me with their mascot- a Black Bear. Boy, is he big.
